The seventh of February, 2009 witnessed a historic event as a Health Insurance Cover agreement was signed by the Director General RTO, Karachi, Mr. Asrar Raouf and the President and CEO of Askari General Insurance Company Limited, Mr. Muhammad Hussain Hijri. This is in league with the many remarkable innovations by the Director General, RTO, Mr. Asrar Raouf, such as setting up a Call Centre, manned and managed entirely by the RTO Officers/Officials offering immediate help of ambulance and medical assistance to the work force of RTO in crisis situations. The idea of Group Medical Insurance has also been his initiative. The process of negotiations began in October, 2008 and culminated in signing of an agreement after 4 months.
